Debt Collection Insider- My Apologies
After 20 years in the debt collection industry, it's time to give back.
Debt Collectors. We Know You Hate Us.
I am not a seasoned writer, not a debt relief advocate, not a banker; I’m a debt collector.
I am creating this community to share over 20 years of my experience helping debt collectors make some serious cash off of indebted individuals. What does this say about me? I don’t know. You can make your own judgments.
All I know is people fall behind on their credit cards or consumer loans and become delinquent all the time and that triggers a whole behind-the-scenes world in finance you wouldn’t believe.
Some call us bottom feeders in the financial world, but even bottom feeders serve a purpose. I know you don’t want to hear why debt collection is necessary for the health of the credit industry blah blah blah…. You just want to get out of the debts you owe. I get it, believe me, even I, who knows the damage bad credit can bring about has had issues with delinquent debts!
Why a debt collection community?
I am not a debt attorney, I am not a debt relief counselor, I am from the other side; the dark side so to speak.
After 20 years in the debt collection world, I’ve seen just how overwhelming and frustrating it can be for people dealing with debt. Even though I’ve spent my career on the other side, I believe everyone deserves a fair shot at managing their situation. That’s why I started this community—to share what I’ve learned and help people understand their rights, handle collection calls, and take back control of their owed debts. Debt doesn’t have to feel like the end of the road. With the right info and some support, you can get through it, and I’m here to try and help.
Not just another debt discussion community
I want to build a supportive, judgment-free community for anyone dealing with consumer debt or looking to understand the debt collection process better.
This community is a space for sharing knowledge, tips, and strategies to navigate debt with confidence. It’s not just about information—it’s about connection. I want readers to feel empowered and less alone in their financial struggles.
Together, we’ll tackle tough questions, break down industry jargon, and share real stories to create a place where people can learn, grow, and support one another on their journey toward financial freedom. Everyone deserves a chance to rebuild.
